This policy explains how Yoseph B. Gebremedhin (“yoseph.dev”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are the data controller for the processing described here.

1. Data we collect

  • Contact & enquiry data — name, email, and any message details you submit through the contact form or by emailing us.
  • Project data — information you share with us during a project engagement.
  • Technical data — basic server logs and, if enabled, privacy-friendly analytics (e.g. page views). We do not sell personal data.

2. How and why we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and provide quotes — legal basis: steps prior to a contract / legitimate interest.
  • To deliver and support agreed services — legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations — legal basis: legal obligation.
  • To keep the website secure and improve it — legal basis: legitimate interest.

3. Sharing & processors

We use trusted third-party processors to run the business — for example website hosting, email, and payment providers (such as Stripe/Klarna for invoicing). These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. List your actual processors here before publishing.

4. International transfers

Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. accounting records). Enquiry data is deleted when it is no longer needed.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access, correct, or delete your personal data;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time; and
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Sweden, the IMY — Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten).
